FRAUD WARNING – 04 June 2025

Fake Phone Calls Pretending to Be from the GP Surgery

A patient at a local GP surgery has received a phone call from someone pretending to be a doctor or health worker from the practice.

The caller said they were a “senior health advisor” working with the GP surgery.

They asked the patient questions about their health, then tried to sell them medicine. The caller then asked for the patient’s bank details to take payment.

The phone number used was 01900 516 559 – this number has been used in other scam calls before.
